In 2000, he received his Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, after which he completed a one-year postdoctoral residency at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Jersey.

After practicing general dentistry for ten years, he then focused on his passion for treating patients with orofacial pain conditions. He furthered his education at the University of Southern California, receiving a master’s degree in Orofacial Pain and Oral Medicine. Subsequently, he went through the rigorous process and examinations to become a board certified Diplomate of the American Board of Orofacial pain. Through years of dedication and expertise in his specialty, Dr. Billington has achieved Fellowship status in the American Academy of Orofacial pain.
